Latent class analysis has been compared to other analysis models but no comparison of latent lass analysis and cluster analysis has been done in educational research. It is now being realized that there are advantages to be derived from life in the country which can not be duplicated by city or urban life; that the rural schools, though backward, have some good features which, if properly utilized, make for good citizenship and noble aspirations. As human beings, the same human motivating factors affects streetchildren. This study was conducted to identify the factors that influence the educational and occupational aspirations of streetchildren, so that additional knowledge on the subject matter could serve as a basis for developing an effective social work program for the training and education of the streetchildren. This study looked into the level of the educational and occupational aspirations of streetchildren in selected areas of Metro Manila, namely Pasay, Quezon City and Manila.
